Vettel confirmed participation in the Race of Champions
Former Formula 1 champion Sebastian Vettel confirmed he will compete in the Race of Champions this year.
The four-time Formula 1 champion, together with Michael Schumacher, won six Nation’s cup trophies for Germany from 2007 to 2012, what is more than any other drivers have won, but Vettel never won individual trophy in the Race of Champions.
Vettel said that he is happy about his return, but added that he is sad because he will miss Michael Schumacher: “Of course I will miss having Michael as my team mate this time but I will try my best to bring the Race of Champions Nations Cup trophy back to Germany and to win my first individual title. That’s one of the trophies I miss from my collection,” said Vettel.
Another former Formula 1 champion, David Coulthard, already confirmed he will defend his title won in the last year Race of Champions. Some of the other confirmed entrants are 24 Hours of Le Mans legend Tom Kristensen and World Rallycross champion Petter Solberg.
The Race of Champions will be held at Queen Elizabeth stadium in London on the 20th and 21st of November.
