V8 Supercars Phillip Island SuperSprint - practice
As we enter the finish of the 2015 V8 Supercars season, there is only a couple more event before the end. So far it was very interesting season with lots of surprises and fierce track battles but also lots of crashes and game changing moments. This weekend V8 Supercars circus has moved to Phillip Island, Victoria, Australia to beautiful 4,45 km long circuit located practically on the beach. This event is super sprint type which means that it will feature two short (14 laps) and one long (45 laps) races.
Friday was practice day with two 60 minutes practice sessions held earlier today. Scott Pye was fastest on the first practice session with 1.32.0552 time and championship leader Mark Winterbottom was fastest in the other with three seconds slower time. In last few races Winterbottom hasn’t won the race but he had good finishes which helped him keep his lead. However, this event is very important for him and his closest competitor, Craig Lowdens in fight for championship title. Click HERE for full results and stay tuned for more racing coverage.
