Tatiana Calderon - New girl in GP3 series
Tatiana Calderon, 22-year-old Colombian female driver, will drive for Arden International team in the 2016 GP3 Series campaign.
She enters the series as a MRF Series runner-up and after having spent the last few seasons in the European Formula 3 Championship with Carlin team. Calderon has participated in the post-season GP3 Series tests in Abu Dhabi, showing that she could be competitive, so the Banbury-based squad decided to take on their first female driver in the team’s 19-year history.
Arden is a right place
“I am really excited to be joining Arden for the 2016 GP3 Series! It’s another step forward in my career. I know it’s going to be a challenging first year in the series but I know I am in the right place surrounded by the right people to learn and make the most out of this amazing opportunity. Arden has been very successful in GP3 and they know what it takes to be fighting up the front,” commented Tatiana Calderon.
Except for MRF Series and European Formula 3 Championship, Tatiana Calderon also participated in European F3 Open and Pro Mazda Championship.
