Scuderia Ferrari retains both Vettel and Raikkonen
Scuderia Ferrari announces today that it will retain Sebastian Vettel for three more seasons in the Formula One World Championship. The Italian team extends an agreement with four-time world champion for the 2018, 2019 and 2020 racing season.
It means that Ferrari will have the same line-up of drivers as in the last three seasons because few days ago they extended a contract with Kimi Raikkonen for at least one season. Raikkonen drives for Ferrari since 2014, Vettel is his teammate since 2015.
Announcing a contract extension, Ferrari stopped speculations about Vettel’s possible arrangement with Mercedes, allowing his driver not to be distracted for the second part of the 2017 season. After eleven events, with nine more races to go, Vettel is leading the championship ahead of Lewis Hamilton.
