Proczyk and Kristoffersson are TCR champions in Germany and Scandinavia
Two TCR championships ended on previous weekend in Europe – ADAC TCR Germany and TCR Scandinavian Touring Car Championship. Hari Proczyk (HP Racing International) took the title in the German-based touring car competition while Johan Kristoffersson (Kristoffersson Motorsport) triumphed in the Scandinavian championship.
The 42-year-old Harald Proczyk recorded three victories and four more podiums in fourteen races during the 2018 ADAC TCR season, including one victory and the third-place finish in the season’s finale at Hockenheimring. After all, the driver of the #22 Opel Astra TCR defeated the second-place Luca Engstler (Team Engstler) by just seven points at the end of the season. Niels Langeveld (Racing One) ended the season in the third place.
The Swedish driver Johan Kristoffersson, who is successfully defending his championship title in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, parallel to his World RX commitments competed in the TCR Scandinavian Touring Car Championship, driving the #3 Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR for a family team. In twelve races during the year, he recorded three wins, including one in season’s finale at Mantorp Park, defeating last year’s champion Robert Dahlgren (PWR Racing Seat Dealer Team) by thirteen points. Dahlgren’s teammate Daniel Haglöf finished third in the championship.
