Porsche Supercup Spa - practice

One of the greatest moments for any racing driver is to race on the legendary Belgian track Spa-Francorchamps. For lucky 34 drivers of Porsche Supercup, this weekend will be a true motorsport celebration of one of the worlds best tracks and one of the world’s best sports and racing cars, Porsche 991 GT3 Cup.

In regards of the recent changes in rules, this Supercup weekend will feature two races. One will take place Saturday afternoon and one Sunday morning, giving us double the fun and racing excitement than usual. Since the Supercars race is just a part of a big Grand Prix weekend at Spa, some of the most famous racing drivers will join Supercup grid and we have two famous names Sebastian Loeb and Patrick Dempsey, both starting as guest drivers, racing with the rest of Supercars drivers.

The first outing on legendary 6.9 kilometers track was the practice session which was held Friday afternoon. The best time in practice was achieved by Austrian ace Philipp Eng with a result of 2:24.791 min. Very close behind him was Christian Engelhardt with 2:24.802 and the third was Michael Ammermuller with very similar time. For full results click HERE and stay tuned for more coverage tomorrow!
