Nicolas Hamilton debuted in BTCC car at Brands Hatch test
Nicolas Hamilton, younger brother of F1 champion Lewis, had his track debut with BTCC car yesterday at Brands Hatch. Nic Hamilton will contest a half-season campaign in this year’ Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

His first race are scheduled for 27-28 June at Croft. Hamilton, who suffers from cerebral paralysis, will become the first-ever disabled driver to compete in history of BTCC. In his career he drove Renault Clio in AirAsia Renault UK Clio Cup and Seat Leon Supercopa in European Touring Car Cup.

Nicolas Hamilton completed his first test behind the wheel of AMD Tuning’s Audi S3. In Monster Energy-backed NGTC machine Hamilton runned up valuable miles around the Brands Hatch Indy track, without any bigger accidents. Further tests will be hold at Donington Park and Snetterton before Hamilton join the competition at Croft for rounds 13, 14 and 15.

“Today was all about getting myself used to the car. It’s nothing like anything I’ve driven before so it’s a steep learning curve. I’m just delighted to have been out there as it’s something I’ve been looking forward to for a very long time. Now we can focus on making progress ahead of our first race weekend“, said Nicolas.
