NASCAR Sprint Cup 2015 Duck Commander 500 Final Practice

After an hour long break following the first practice session, the 2015 Duck Commander 500 practice runs resumed around 13:00ET with Joey Logano scoring the first place with 28.996s and 186.233 MPH top speed, followed by Denny Hamlin with 29.004s and Jamie McMurray with 29.074. In fourth was Brad Keselowski. Not long into the session, Matt Kenseth got the first place with 28.8s and Danica Patrick was briefly at second with 28.911s time, but was soon pushed to third by Ryan Blaney who scored 28.862. Patrick was pushed to 4th by Dale Jr, but soon after fell on 5th and 6th when Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne climbed to 1st and 2nd with 28.778s and 28.785s.

At around 55 minutes left, Danica Patrick returned to the pits after just three laps, reporting throttle problems. With 30 minutes into the session Kasey Kahne climbed to first with 28.776s, a place he has managed to hold until Brad Keselowski scored 28.687s with around 28 minutes to go. Soon after, Kahne was pushed to third when Jimmie Johnson ran a 28.751s lap. Paul Menard jumped to second with 28.721s, but was pushed to 4th by Keselowski, Truex Jr. and Patrick. Seconds later, Denny Hamlin and Stenhouse Jr. got to 1st and 2nd with 28.487s and 28.652s.

With 16 minutes to go, Jimmie Johnson climbed to first with 28.343s, while Jamie McMurray jumped to second. Alex Bowman jumped to 5th, but was soon pushed down to sixth by Kurt Busch who ran 28.616s. Kasey Kahne returned to first with 28.276s, a place he has managed to hold until the end of the session. In the end, behind him were Jimmie Johnson, Jamie McMurray, Denny Hamlin and Casey Mears.
