Japanese Super Formula: Kazuki Nakajima winner at Autopolis

Kazuki Nakajima (Petronas Tom’s) won 5th round of Japanese Super Formula Championship at Autopolis. After previously winning three podiums, it was his first win this season and he jumped to second place in overall championship classification. Championship leader Hiroaki Ishiura (P.MU/Cerumo-Inging) finished second at Autopolis, 0.99 seconds behind Nakajima after 54 laps around the 4.674km-long track. Former F1 driver Kamui Kobayashi (Team Kygnus Sunoco) finished third.

Eight drivers scored points in every race, behind the trio at podium other point scorers were Ryo Hirakawa , Joao Paulo Lima de Oliveira, James Rossiter, Naoki Yamamoto and Yuji Kunimoto. In the championship standings Ishiura has 41 points, Nakajima is second with 34 and De Oliveira is third with 29 points. Championship will be continued on October 17/18 at Sportsland Sugo.
