Citroen will be in hunt for more WTCC trophies in 2015 and one of the French team drivers, Ma Qing Hua, hopes he will earn more podiums than in the previous campaign.

Few days before the start of the new season of  the World Touring Car Championship, Chinese says he has couple tasks to fulfill in his first full-time entry. Hua took his maiden victory in WTCC last year, in his second ever race, and later notched up another podium finish at his home track in Shanghai.

“I want to finish every race, and in a good position too. It’s about time we saw more Chinese flags on the podiums. Unlike my teammates, I haven’t raced at Termas de Rio Hondo before. On the simulator, it seemed like a tough circuit. The track is slippery, particularly when it’s hot, but that’s the same for everyone“, said the former HRT and Caterham Formula 1 test driver before the season opening race in Argentina.

Ma Qing Hua rejoined Citroen Racing in C-Elysee and will be fourth team’s entry, alongside with Jose Maria Lopez, Sebastian Loeb and Yvann Muller. He had surprised last year so the expactations are higher in the new season.

“I’m really happy to be carrying on with Citroën Racing, and to be racing a full season too. Competing as often as the others can only help me to feel more at ease with the car. I prepared over the winter, with plenty of physical training and two good test sessions. I think the technical changes suit my driving style”, added 27 years old Hua.

Citroen won Constructors’ championship in 2014 and also made one-two-three in the Drivers’ championship with Jose Maria Lopez taking the title.
