The former WRC regular Craig Breen, who is competing in some national rally championships this year, took the victory at 66th Rallye Sanremo, the second round of the Italian rally championship.

Navigated by Paul Nagle in the #4 Škoda Fabia R5, Breen took the victory with the late push on the very last special stage, the 34.45km Testico – Cole D’Oggia, setting the fastest time and converting his 11-second disadvantage to the 4.3-second victory. Simone Campedelli finished second in a Ford Fiesta R5. Giandomenico Basso (Škoda Fabia R5), who won the season-opening rally earlier this year, completed the podium at Rallye Sanremo.

In Switzerland, the 42nd Criterium Jurassien was the second round of the national championship. The victory went to Ivan Ballinari in a Škoda Fabia R5, what is his second win in two rallies.
