Race of Legends to close the Audi Sport TT Cup
Hockenheimring will host a real festival of motorsport this weekend, featuring season’s finale in four racing competitions – DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters), FIA Formula 3 European Championship, Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and Audi Sport TT Cup.
The main story is DTM finale, in which six drivers are chasing the title in two races, but other championships will also offer a plenty of excitement and thrill. Formula 3 youngsters will have the last three races of the season, Porsche one-make series will hit the track in two races while the Audi Sport TT Cup will have a special addition to its timetable.
It’s the third and the last season of the Audi Sport TT Cup, which started in 2015. To mark a closure of this competition, Audi will gather together some of the greatest legends of motorsport who previously competed with the brand. They will race in an identical 310-hp Audi TTs at the 4.574 km race track.
The drivers announced for the Race of Legends, scheduled for Sunday in 12:45, are Tom Kristensen, Frank Biela, Emanuele Pirro, Dindo Capello, Hans-Joachim Stuck, Marco Werner, Christian Abt, Jean-Marc Gounon, Stephane Ortelli, Lucas Luhr, Marcel Fassler, Frank Stippler, Lucas di Grassi, Filipe Albuquerque, Rahel Frey and Vanina Ickx.
