In a major setback, reigning Dakar Rally champion Carlos Sainz Sr. has been compelled to abandon the 2025 edition of the renowned endurance race. Following a severe crash during the challenging two-day marathon stage, Sainz Sr. persisted despite significant damage and disadvantage.
