British GT: Double celebration for a crew in the green Lamborghini

Barwell Motorsport’s Adam Balon and Phil Keen are double winners of the British GT Championship round at Snetterton. They brought #72 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 to victories in both Sunday’s races, taking the lead in the championship after four races.

Successful Sunday at Snetterton made Phil Keen a new record-holder both in the overall category and in the GT3 class. He has 17 British GT wins on his account, including fifteen wins in GT3 class, surpassing the previous record-holder Jonny Adam by one win.

After the first race, Balon/Keen shared a podium with Team Parker Racing’s Glynn Geddie and Ryan Ratcliffe in the #7 Bentley Continental GT3, and with TF Sport’s Graham Davidson and Jonny Adam in the #47 Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

In the GT4 class, Richard Williams and Sennan Fielding gave the maiden victory to Steller Motorsport in the #29 Audi R8 LMS GT4. They were joined on the podium by two Tolman Motorsport crews. Josh Smith and James Dorlin were second in the #4 McLaren 570S GT4, ahead of teammates Lewis Proctor and Jordan Collard in the #5 McLaren.

Barwell’s #72 Lamborghini at Snetterton

Barwell Motorsport celebrated a double podium after the second race on Sunday, with Sam de Haan and Jonny Cocker finishing second in the #69 Lamborghini. Shaun Balfe and Rob Bell finished the race in the third place in the #22 McLaren 720S GT3.

After a podium in the first race, Tolman Motorsport’s Jordan Collard and Lewis Proctor took the GT4 class victory in the second race. Tom Canning and Ashley Hand finished second in the #97 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage GT4. Dean MacDonald and Callum Pointon completed a podium in the #57 HHC Motorsport McLaren 570S GT4.
