Jake Hughes of Hitech Grand Prix finished 2nd while the winner of the Saturday’s race Maximilian Gunther, who celebrates his 20th birthday today, came 3rd in his home race to extended lead in the standings before the final race of the weekend.
Race 3
Gunther had the pole position for the last race of the fifth round while his rival in the title battle Joel Eriksson started from P10 while Lando Norris was at P6. The Indian rookie Jehan Daruvala, who started from P2, early took the lead from Gunther.
The German driver was all over Daruvala but the Indian of the Carlin Motorsport was calm and deserved his maiden win in the series. However, Gunther is surely happy with another podium finish while Lando Norris finished 3rd after he overtook Ralf Aron on the penultimate lap.
