Martin Truex Jr scores the most dominant victory ever in NASCAR

Martin Truex Jr enters the NASCAR history books on Sunday evening at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The driver of the #78 Furniture Row Toyota Camry scores his fourth Sprint Cup Series victory in a career by winning in the longest race  – the Coca-Cola 600. Of course, the victory alone isn’t a reason to have a special chapter in the history books. The big thing he did it was the dominance in the race, because he led 392 of 400 laps, spending 588 of 600 miles in the lead, most ever in a single race in NASCAR history.

Truex crossed the finish line 2.572 seconds ahead of Kevin Harvick. Jimmie Johnson, who led five laps during 400-lap race at 2.5-mile oval, finished third. Denny Hamlin, who won the Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, finished fourth. Brad Keselowski completed the top five.
