British GT: Johnston and Adam triumphant at Brands Hatch

British GT season started this weekend at Brands Hatch with a victory of TF Sport’s drivers Derek Johnston and Jonny Adam behind the wheel of Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

GT3 class

The TF Sport’s pair finished the race 7.067s ahead of AMDtuning.com’s BMW with Lee Mowle and Joe Osborne. The two-hour race was stopped a bit earlier after one of the cars went on fire and wasn’ restarted. Team Parker Racing was on pole position for this race, but at the end, Rick Parfitt and Seb Morris drove their Bentley Continental to third place, only 0.272s behind AMDtuning.com car.

Beechdean AMR’s championship winning car with Andrew Howard and the newcomer Ross Gunn was fifth after an intense battle with Barwell Motorsport’s Liam Griffin and Fabio Babini in Lamborghini Huracan GT3.

GT4 class

Optimum Motorsport’s Ginetta G55 with Graham Johnson and Mike Robinson clinched the class win at Brands Hatch being slightly faster than another two Ginettas of Century Motorsport (Anna Waleswka/Nathan Freke) and RCIB Insurance Racing (Jordan Stilp/William Phillips).
