Porsche Supercup at Silverstone: First ever victory for Turkish driver

Ayhancan Güven (Martinet by Almeras) has won Porsche Supercup race at Silverstone and became the first ever driver from Turkey to win the race in the famous one-make series.

The 21-year driver of the #22 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup showed the pretty dominant performance at Silverstone, setting the fastest times during practice and qualifying, and then converting pole position into his first victory.

Güven was joined on the podium by two young Frenchmen – Florian Latorre (Fach Auto Tech) and Julien Andlauer (Lechner Racing). Thirty-two drivers participated in the race. The defending champion Michael Ammermuller (Lechner Racing) finished sixth.
