Formula E: Di Grassi wins in Berlin, Vergne defends championship lead
Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler) wins the Berlin ePrix, the tenth round of the 2018-2019 FIA Formula E Championship. It’s his second win of the season and tenth Formula E victory in a career.
Lucas di Grassi shared a podium with Sebastien Buemi (Nissan e.dams) and Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah), making it three FE champions on the podium. With new 15 points on his account, Jean-Eric Vergne defends the championship lead with three more races on the schedule. Vergne has 102 points, six more than Di Grassi and sixteen more than his teammate Andre Lotterer, who didn’t finish the race today due to a battery issue.
Antonio Felix da Costa (BMW i Andretti) was fourth in today’s race and he’s fourth in the championship. The other points scorers at Berlin ePrix are Stoffel Vandoorne (HWA Racelab), Daniel Abt (Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler), Alexander Sims (BMW i Andretti), Oliver Rowland (Nissan e.dams), Sam Bird (Virgin Racing) and Pascal Wehrlein (Mahindra Racing).
The next on the calendar is the Bern ePrix in Switzerland, which is a part of the Formula E Championship for the first time.
