Italian celebration at Blancpain GT Series season-opener at Monza

The Italian team Dinamic Motorsport took the sensational and unexpected victory at 3 Hours of Monza, the opening round of the 2019 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. It was the first race for Dinamic Motorsport in the Blancpain GT Series. The winners of the race are Klaus Bachler, Zaid Ashkanani and Andrea Rizzoli in the #54 Porsche 911 GT3 R.

After three hours of racing and completed 77 laps, Bachler crossed the finish line 14.852 seconds ahead of Marco Mapelli in the #563 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of Orange 1 FFF Racing Team. Mapelli was sharing the car with Andrea Caldarelli and Dennis Lind. Black Falcon’s #4 Mercedes-AMG GT3 finished the race in the third place, driven by Maro Engel, Luca Stolz and Yelmer Buurman.

Monza, #90 Mercedes Akka ASP

Fourth place overall and Silver Cup win for the #90 Mercedes

The fourth place overall, and the victory in the Silver Cup class, went to Nico Bastian, Felipe Fraga and Timur Boguslavskiy in the #90 Akka ASP Mercedes. Am class winners, and 16th overall, were Miguel Ramos, Leo Machitski and Adrian Amstutz in the #77 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of Barwell Motorsport. Pro-Am class victory went to Chris Froggatt, Chris Buncombe and Jonathan Hui in the #93 Tempesta Racing Ferrari 488 GT3.

Forty-six cars started the race, three teams didn’t appear on the grid following their crashes during qualifying sessions.

The next Endurance Cup race would be the 3 Hours of Silverstone, scheduled for May 11-12. In the meantime, Brands Hatch will host the first round of the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe (former Sprint Cup) on May 4-5.
