ADAC GT Masters: Two wins for GRT Grasser Lamborghini at Nürburgring
GRT Grasser Racing Team scored victories in both races of the ADAC GT Masters at Nürburgring, in the fifth round of the season.
Mirko Bortolotti and Christian Engelhart triumphed in Race 1 on Saturday after starting from pole in the #63 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 while Rolf Ineichen and Franck Perera (#82 Lamborghini Huracan GT3) converted their pole position into a victory in Sunday’s Race 2.
On Saturday, Mirko Bortolotti started from pole for the third time this season and converted in into his second win of the season, together with Christian Engelhart as his co-driver in the #63 Lamborghini.
They cruised to the victory ahead of Luca Stolz and Maro Engel in the #2 Toksport WRT Mercedes-AMG GT3. Patric Niederhauser and Kelvin van der Linde finished third in the #31 Audi R8 LMS of HCB-Rutronik Racing, extending their championship lead.
In Sunday’s Race 2, another GRT Lamborghini started from pole and scored a victory. That was the #82 Huracan od Franck Perera and Rolf Ineichen. It’s their first win of the season and third podium this year. Rolf Ineichen crossed the finish line 5.366 seconds ahead of Timo Bernhard in the #17 Porsche 911 GT3. Bernhard was sharing a car with Klaus Bachler.
Patric Niederhauser and Kelvin van der Linde climbed to the podium again, scoring one more third-place finish to further extend their championship lead.
