24H Series: One more win at Mugello for #11 Scuderia Praha Ferrari
Matteo Malucelli, Jiri Pisarik and Josef Kral are the winners of 12 Hours of Mugello, the second round of the 2019 24H Series. They were sharing the #11 Ferrari 488 GT3 of the Czech team Bohemia Energy Racing with Scuderia Praha, taking the second victory for the team at the Italian circuit. Previously, the same three drivers in the same car have won at Mugello in 2017.
Fifty-four cars started the race at the 5.245 km long circuit. The trio in the red Ferrari won the race ahead of the yellow-black #77 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo of British team Barwell Motorsport, driven by Phil Keen, Patrick Kujala and Adrian Amstutz. The podium was completed with three Germans and one Swiss driver of the #91 Herberth Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 R – Ralf Bohn, Robert Renauer, Alfred Renauer and Daniel Allemann.
Fourth place overall and the victory in A6-Am class went to the #10 Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Hofor Racing, driven by Christiaan Frankenhout, Kenneth Heyer, Alexander Prinz and Michael Kroll.
Porsche Lorient Racing’s #912 Porsche 991-II Cup took the victory in 991 Class. The drivers were Jean-Philippe Belloc, Pascal Gibon, Frederic Lelievre and Philippe Polette. The best GT4 car was the #50 BMW M4 GT4 of Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport, driven by Martin Kroll, Michael Schrey, Michael Fischer, Gustav Engljaehringer and Thomas Jäger.
The race also counted for the 24H TCE Series. The victory went to the #112 Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR of Autorama Motorsport by Wolf-Power Racing, driven by Fabian Danz, Jan Sorensen and Kristian Jepsen. They defeated the closest rivals in the #188 AC Motorsport Audi RS3 LMS by just 36.793 seconds after 300 laps.
