Black Falcon's Mercedes victorious in the longest VLN race
Hubert Haupt, Adam Christodoulou, Manuel Metzger und Gabriele Piana are the winners of the ROWE 6 Stunden ADAC Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen, the longest race of the 2018 VLN endurance series and the only 6-hour race of the season.
The quartet in the #6 Black Falcon Mercedes-AMG GT3 started the race from pole and converted it into the dominant victory after 42 laps around the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
The victorious Mercedes crossed the finish line with an almost two-minute advantage over the #99 Rowe Racing BMW M6 GT3 of Philipp Eng and Tom Blomqvist. One more BMW crew completed the podium – Stef Dusseldorp and Alexandre Imperatori in the #3 Falken Motorsports BMW M6 GT3.
The sixth round of the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring will take place already in two weeks. On September 1, the Nordschleife will host the 41st RCM DMV Grenzlandrennen with the usual distance of four hours.
