Porsche Junior T. Preining triumphed in Supercup race at Hungaroring
The Porsche Junior Thomas Preining (BWT Lechner Racing) scored his second win of the season in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in the sixth round at Hungaroring. He won a race after starting from pole position. It’s interesting that all six races in 2018 have been won by drivers who started from pole.
Preining shared Hungaroring’s podium with another Porsche Junior Julien Andlauer (Martinet by Almeras) and veteran Jaap van Lagen (Fach Auto Tech).
Twenty-seven drivers started the race at Hungaroring. The defending champion Michael Ammermuller finished in the sixth place, behind Zaid Ashkanani and Nick Yelloly.
The next Supercup round would be again the support race to F1 Grand Prix weekend, on August 26 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
