Nick Yelloly (Fach Auto Tech) has proved once more how is important to take the pole position in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup race. He was the fastest qualifier at Hockenheimring and converts his starting position into the victory today, becoming the first double winner in five races of the 2018 season. In all five races, the winners started from pole.

Mattia Drudi (Dinamic Motorsport) started from P3 and finished second, 3.615 seconds behind Yelloly. The reigning Supercup champion Michael Ammermüller (BWT Lechner Racing) made a progress from fifth place on the grid to the third place on the podium, further three and a half seconds behind Drudi. Thomas Preining (BWT Lechner Racing) and Dylan Pereira (Momo Megatron Lechner Racing) completed the top 5. Thirty-one drivers participated in the race.

The next race of Porsche Supercup will take place next weekend at Hungaroring, as a part of the Formula 1 Grand Prix support programme.
