Clean sweep for Ammermüller on the opening of the German Carrera Cup
The last year’s Porsche Supercup champion Michael Ammermüller (BWT Lechner Racing) started his 2018 campaign with a maximum score in the first round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany at Oschersleben, scoring two victories after starting both races from pole position.
Robert Lukas (FÖRCH Racing) and Dylan Pereira (Lechner Racing) shared the podium with Michael Ammermüller in both races, they only swapped position. Lukas was in the second place in Race 1, Pereira was second in Race 2.
In the amateur classification, Jörn Schmidt-Staade clinched both wins. Twenty-nine drivers participated in the first racing weekend of the season.
The next two races of the German Porsche Carrera Cup will take place at Red Bull Ring on June 9-10. In the meantime, the Porsche Supercup will start on April 25-26 at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
