Kevin Harvick celebrated two victories on previous weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. On Sunday, he won the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500, the second round of the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season, seventeen years after he scored his first ever Cup Series victory on the same track. Yesterday’s win was Harvick’s 38th in Cup Series career. On Saturday, he won the Rinnai 250 Xfinity Series race, scoring his 47th Xfinity Series win in a career.

Kevin Harvick celebrated two times in two days at Atlanta Motor Speedway

In the rain-delayed Cup Series race, Harvick lead for 181 of 325 laps in the #4 Stewart-Haas Racing’s Ford Fusion and took a comfortable victory ahead of Brad Keselowski, crossing a finish line 2.690 seconds before the #2 Ford. Harvick’s teammate Clint Bowyer finished third, putting Fords in all three podium positions.

Two Toyotas followed at 4th and 5th place, driven by Denny Hamlin and Martin Truex Jr., who charged forward from a 35th-place starting position to P5 at the end. Joey Logano, pole winner Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott completed the top 10. Daytona 500 winner Austin Dillon was 14th, the first driver one lap down.

After two Cup Series races in 2018, Joey Logano took over the series lead by six points over Ryan Blaney, who finished 12th at Atlanta.
