Kevin Harvick wins NASCAR All-Star Race, earns $1 million
After five wins in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series this year, Kevin Harvick adds one more non-championship victory to his account. He wins the NASCAR All-Star Race after leading for 36 of 93 laps at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This victory earns him $1 million prize. This is Harvick’s second victory in the All-Star Race, the first he achieved in 2007.
In a restrictor-plate race, the driver of the #4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford defeated Joe Gibbs Racing’s Daniel Suarez in a drag race to the finish line. Team Penske’s Joey Logano finished in the third place.
Denny Hamlin was fourth, followed by Chase Elliott, who earned the last spot in the 21-car main event via the Fan Vote. Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Larson, AJ Allmendinger, Kyle Busch and Kasey Kahne completed the top 10.
