GP3 Series at Hungaroring: Wins for Mazepin, BoccolacciHubert retains the lead

Nikita Mazepin (ART Grand Prix) and Dorian Boccolacci (MP Motorsport) are the winners of two GP3 Series races at Hungaroring, in the fifth round of the 2018 season. For the 19-year-old Russian Mazepin, it’s the second GP3 victory in his rookie season. The 19-year-old Frenchman Boccolacci scored his first win this year and the second in a GP3 Series career.

Anthoine Hubert (ART Grand Prix), who came to Hungary as the championship leader, will leave the country on the same position. He scored two podiums at Hungaroring, finishing third in both races, and retains the lead in front of the second-placed teammate Callum Ilott. He finished sixth in Saturday’s race and second in Sunday’s race.

Leonardo Pulcini (Campos Racing) scored his third podium of the season by finishing second in Race 1 of the Hungarian GP3 weekend.

The next round on the 2018 GP3 Series calendar is scheduled for August 25-26 at Circuit Spa-Francorchamps, as a part of the F1 Belgian Grand Prix support programme.
