ART Grand Prix takes five out of six GP3 podium places in Catalunya
Nikita Mazepin (ART Grand Prix) and Giuliano Alesi (Trident) are the race winners in the season-opening round of the 2018 GP3 Series at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
In the first race, Mazepin led the 1-2-3 victory for ART Grand Prix, with Anthoine Hubert and Callum Ilott joining him on a podium. The pole-sitter Leonardo Pulcini (Campos Racing) finished the race in the fourth place.
In the second race, the Top 8 drivers from the previous race started on the reversed grid, with Juan Manuel Correa (Jenzer Motorsport) and Giuliano Alesi on the front row. The Frenchman took the lead on turn 1 and stayed in front until the end of the race, claiming his fourth GP3 victory in his third season in a series.
Correa finished the race in the fourth place, behind ART Grand Prix drivers Anthoine Hubert and Jake Hughes. The British driver made a fantastic progress from P13 on the grid.
