George Russell (ART Grand Prix) takes the lead in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with an almost perfect score in the sixth round at Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria. He won Saturday’s Feature Race and finished second in Sunday’s Sprint Race. After twelve races in the 2018 F2 season, he has 132 points, ten more than previous leader Lando Norris (Carlin), who finished second on Saturday and eleventh on Sunday.

In Saturday’s race, Russell converted pole position into his fourth victory of the season, sharing a podium with Lando Norris and Antonio Fuoco (Charouz Racing System).

On Sunday, Artem Markelov (Russian Time) started from pole on the reversed grid, staying in the lead until the end of the race. He crossed the finish line 5.6 seconds ahead of George Russell. Sergio Sette Camara (Carlin) finished in the third place, taking his fourth podium of the season. It was the third win of the season for Markelov, who now sits in the third place in the championship.
