Austrian Grand Prix: Fourth Formula 1 victory for Max Verstappen
Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) scored his fourth Formula 1 victory in a career today in the Austrian Grand Prix at Red Bull Ring. The 20-year-old Dutchman triumphed in a race which saw a retirement of both Mercedes drivers and his teammate Dani Ricciardo, all three due to technical issues.
Their misfortune helped Scuderia Ferrari to take two places on a podium, with Kimi Raikkonen finishing second and Sebastian Vettel finishing third. Fifteen points on his account promoted Vettel to the championship lead. Ferrari also takes the lead in the Manufacturers’ standings.
Romain Grosjean (Haas) finally captured his first points in 2018 by finishing fourth, one place ahead of his teammate Kevin Magnussen. Two Force India drivers Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez finished on P6 and P7.
Fernando Alonso (McLaren) started from pits and finished eighth. Sauber drivers Charles Leclerc and Marcus Ericsson completed the top 10.
