The Russian rally driver Alexey Lukyanuk and his navigator Alexey Arnautov are the winners of the 6th Rally di Roma Capitale, the fifth round of the 2018 European Rally Championship. For a duo in the #2 Ford Fiesta R5, it’s the third win of the season.

After fifteen special stages, long about 206 kilometers, Lukyanuk defeated the second-placed Italian Giandomenico Basso in the #24 Škoda Fabia R5 by just 7.5 seconds. The Polish driver Grzegorz Grzyb finished third in the #7 Škoda Fabia R5.

Nine drivers of Škoda Fabia R5 finished in the top 10. Among them, there was also Bruno Magalhaes, who won one ERC rally this year and came to Italy as the championship leader. He finished fifth at Rally di Roma Capitale and Lukyanuk retook the championship lead after five events.

There are three more ERC rounds on the 2018 calendar. The next event is the Barum Rally Zlin on August 24-26.
