British GT: Victory and championship lead for Flick Haigh, Jonny Adam

Jonny Adam and Flick Haigh scored their second victory of the season today at Brands Hatch in the sixth round of the 2018 British GT Championship.

The duo in the #75 Optimum Motorsport Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 converted their pole position into the victory in the penultimate round of the season and takes the lead in the championship with one more race on the calendar. Today’s win is the 14th outright victory in British GT Championship for Jonny Adam and he’s now the most successful driver in the history of the series.

Jonny Adam took the lead in the closing laps of the race, overtaking Jonny Cocker in the #69 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan GT3. Cocker was sharing a car with Sam De Haan. Nicki Thiim and Mark Farmer finished third in the #11 TF Sport Aston Martin.

The victory in GT4 class went to Graham Johnson and Mike Robinson in #501 Balfe Motorsport McLaren 570S GT4, who started 13th on the grid. They defeated Century Motorsport’s Ben Tuck and Ben Green in the #42 BMW M4 GT4. Kelvin Fletcher and Martin Plowman finished third in the #53 UltraTek Racing Team RJN Nissan 370Z GT4.
