Ammermuller continues winning streak
Michael Ammermuller continued his winning streak in 2017 Porsche Supercup by winning the race in Monaco.
Lechner Racing drivers dominated in qualifying and occupied top 3 positions. Championship leader Michael Ammermuller was the pole sitter while Dennis Olsen and Daniel Cammish were behind him. Ammermuller started perfectly and quickly built a solid lead while Cammish took the 2nd place from Olsen. Interestingly, that was the only change in the top 10 standings.
Almost nothing interesting happened at the front of the grid but in the middle several cars were involved in the accident caused by Paul Rees on lap 4. A total of seven cars retired from the race in Monaco, most of them during the first half of the race.
The experienced Ammermuller triumphed without too much effort ahead of Cammish and Olsen and scored his maiden victory in Monaco. This is the third consecutive victory in 2017 for the German racer who leads the standings in front of Olsen and Cammish.
