Christopher Bell wins the 2017 NASCAR Truck Series title
Christopher Bell is the 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion! The 22-year old driver of the #4 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota Tundra finished second in season’s finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the best of four championaship contenders, to take the title in his second full season in the Truck Series.
The winner of the Ford EcoBoost 200 race at the 1.5-mile track is Chase Briscoe (Brad Keselowski Racing). The second-best of championship contenders was Johnny Sauter in third place, 13 seconds behind Bell.
“You never know when your last win is, when your last championship is, so to be able to be standing here as a NASCAR champion is something I would say I dreamed of, but I didn’t ever think it was a possibility, so I didn’t ever really dream of it. But it – I’m just really speechless,” Bell said in the Victory Lane. For the next season, he already signed for Joe Gibbs Racing to drive in the Xfinity Series.
