Pietro Fittipaldi (Lotus) celebrates his 21st birthday today with a fourth win of the season in the fifth round of the 2017 World Series Formula V8 3.5 at Motorland Aragon in Spain. Earlier today, the young Brazilian grabbed the pole position for the eighth time in ten races, converting it in a victory which puts him to the top of the championship standings. He demoted his teammate Rene Binder, who retired today in the opening lap.

Konstantin Tereschenko (Teo Martin Motorsport) started from P3 and progressed to the second place but his race ended after eight laps, when he crashed out at turn 5. Alfonso Celis Jr (Fortec Motorsports) inherited P2, staying there until the end. Yesterday’s winner Egor Orudzhev (SMP Racing by AVF) completed the podium.
