Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup: Easy win in Monte-Carlo for Sacha Fenestraz
Sacha Fenestraz (Josef Kaufmann Racing) clinches his first win of the season in the second race of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup at the streets of Monte-Carlo. The French driver in the #11 car started from pole position and easily converted his advantage into victory, unchallenged by rivals. With that victory, Fenestraz repeated his last year’s success, when he was also the FR 2.0 Eurocup winner at Monaco.
R-ace GP drivers Robert Shwartzman and Will Palmer were fighting for other two place on a podium. Championship leader Palmer started a race from P2 but lost a place on the opening lap, staying behind Shwartzman’s back until the checkered flag. Dan Ticktum was again the best-placed rookie at Monaco, same as in the yesterday’s race, finishing in the fifth place, behind Max Defourny.
After 13 laps and with four minutes to go, the race was slowed down by the Safety Car and it finished like that.
