F3 Macau Grand Prix: Dan Ticktum wins in a crazy finish
Daniel Ticktum wins the 64th Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix after one of the craziest finishes ever at the famous Macau Guia Circuit. The 18-year old Red Bull junior and driver of the #18 Motopark Dallara-Volkswagen crossed the finish line as the winner following an incredible double crash of the front-runners in the last meters of the race.
Sergio Sette Camara (Motopark) and Ferdinand Habsburg (Carlin) were fighting for the victory until the last turn of the last lap. Habsburg took the lead for a while but both he and Camara entered the last turn too fast and crashed out. Ticktum said ‘Thanks’ and scored his greatest win of a career.
European F3 champion Lando Norris (Carlin) finished second, with Ralf Aron (Van Amersfoort Racing) taking the final podium spot. Habsburg recovered from a crash and crossed the finish line on three wheels in the fourth place.
