Leclerc wins Feature race at Red Bull Ring
The winner of the FIA Formula 2 Feature Race at Red Bull Ring is the championship leader Charles Leclerc.
For the fifth consecutive time this season Charles Leclerc started from pole position. The Monegasque driver of the Prema Racing team kept the lead early in the race ahead of his teammate Antonio Fuoco and Alexander Albon. Norman Nato, who celebrates his 25th birthday today, was the first one (and only one) who retired due to mechanical issues on lap 6.
After the pit stop Leclerc still had a comfortable lead to Fuoco while Oliver Rowland, who pitted much earlier, moved up to the 3rd position for a while. In the last couple of laps Nicholas Latifi did a great job. A driver of the DAMS team overtook Rowland for P3 and on the following lap he did the same with Fuoco to take the 2nd place what is his best result in 2017 so far.
Leclerc recorded his fourth victory this year while Antonio Fuoco took the 3rd position what is his first podium finish this year.
