Bottas stayed in P2 while Kimi Raikkonen doubled up a podium for Ferrari, defending third place in the final-lap clash against Lewis Hamilton. The champion started from pit road.

Max Verstappen ended a race in the fifth place, one place ahead of his teammate Daniel Ricciardo. Felipe Massa was seventh in his last race in front of Brazilian crowd before he would leave Formula 1 at the end of the season.
