Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: Bottas closes a season with a victory
Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) closes the 2017 Formula One season with a victory in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit. The Finnish driver started from pole and converted it into his third F1 win in a career. His teammate and world champion Lewis Hamilton was behind him for entire race, crossing rhe finish line 3.899 seconds after Bottas.
Fifteen seconds behind Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel took third place to confirm his runner-up position in the championship standings.
Kimi Raikkonen was half a minute behind Vettel, beating Max Verstappen in a fight for P4. Nico Hulkenberg finished in the sixth place, collecting valuable points for Renault which propelled French team ahead of Toro Rosso to sixth place in the final constructors’ standings.
Force India’s drivers Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon were seventh and eighth, ahead of Fernando Alonso (McLaren) and Felipe Massa (Williams).

As we said, Sebastian Vettel defended his second place in the championship, ahead of Valtteri Bottas. Abu Dhabi’s fourth place moved Kimi Raikkonen to the fourth place in the final standings, ahead of Daniel Ricciardo who retired today.
