Bjorn Grossmann, Martin Nelson and Rick Lovat were victorious on the second day of Ferrari Challenge Europe season-opening weekend at Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia.

The Octane 126 driver Bjorn Grossmann again started from pole position but on Sunday he was able to keep the lead to his teammate and the winner of Saturday’s race Fabio Leimer. Andrea Gagliardini (CDP) completed the podium of the first race of the day.

The outcome in the Pirelli AM class was the same like on Saturday. Martin Nelson (Autoropa) scored another victory, while Chris Froggatt (Team HR Owen) and Jens Liebhauser (Gohm Motorsport) finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Coppa Shell

Rick Lovatt and Johnny Laursen again battled bravely but this time the Canadian driver was the one who took the chequered flag with a tight margin of 0.7s. The big duel was for 3rd between the two Formula Racing drivers, Tani Hanna and Eric Cheung. At the end, the Lebanese driver was lucky to grab a podium finish.

Manuela Gostner for the second day in a row triumphed in the Ladies Cup.
