2017 Dakar Rally - Peterhansel wins stage 7 and maintains overall lead
Stephane Peterhansel won the shortened stage 7 of 2017 Dakar Rally and increased his lead in the overall classification.
The Peugeot driver scored second stage win, this time being fastest in the much-shortened stage due to the weather conditions. His teammate Sebastien Loeb finished second, with a gap of 48 seconds, in the stage driven from La Paz to Uyuni, while Giniel De Villiers in Toyota took the 3rd place.
Peterhansel leads the overall standings with an advantage of 1:57 minutes to Loeb, while Nani Roma took the third position overall from another Peugeot driver Cyril Despres. Roma was 5th today, while the Frenchman finished 7th in today’s stage, but more than nine minutes behind the winner.
