British GT at Brands Hatch: Third win for Team Parker Racing's Bentley

Rick Parfitt Jr and Seb Morris clinched their third win of the season today at Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit in the ninth race of the 2017 British GT Championship season. A duo in the #31 Team Parker Racing Bentley Continental GT3 took the comfortable win at the 3.9km circuit to move into the championship lead with one more race remained on the calendar.

After two hours of racing, Sam Tordoff and Liam Griffin finished in the second place in the #6 Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan GT3, beating Jon Barnes and Mark Farmer in the #11 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

After nine races, Parfitt Jr and Morris are leading the championship with 177.5 points. Barwell Motorsport’s Phil Keen and Jon Minshaw, who started from pole today and finished fifth, collect 167 points so far.

Middleton, Tregurtha already secured GT4 title

In the GT4 class, Jan Jonck and William Philips won for the first time this season in the #42 Macmillan AMR Aston Martin Vantage GT4. Joe Osborne and David Pattison took the second place in the GT4 classification in the #56 Tolman Motorsport McLaren 570S GT4. Stuart Middleton and William Tregurtha finished third in the #55 HHC Motorsport Ginetta G55 GT4.

Middleton and Tregurtha have 158 points after nine races, 25 points more than closest rivals, and they already can celebrate the GT4 championship title ahead of season’s finale at Donington Park on September 23.
