BTCC - Knockhill: Jason Plato scores 95th BTCC win in his 500th race
Jason Plato claims his 95th BTCC victory in a career today at Knockhill Circuit in Scotland. This was Plato’s 500th BTCC race since his debut in 1997. Plato takes the win in a dominant way, starting from pole and staying in front for all 27 laps. Jack Goff, who started fourth in the West Surrey Racing’s #31 BMW 125i M Sport, finished second, ahead of Plato’s teammate Colin Turkington, who steals the podium sport from Speedworks Motorsport’s Tom Ingram two laps before the end.
Sam Tordoff, who started third, was fighting for the podium against Jack Goff, but at the end he dropped to fifth. Andrew Jordan started sixth and finished sixth, ahead of Dave Newsham. Two Honda drivers Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden took 8th and 9th place respectively. Rob Austin completed the Top 10.
